Water Restrictions Resources

On Saturday, March 31^st, Plano will be partnering with Texas Agrilife Research & Extension Center and other area cities to host the WaterWise Irrigation Workshop: What to Do During Drought.  The WaterWise Irrigation Workshop is an opportunity for homeowner to learn how to manage and operate their irrigation system. The workshop is set up as a hands on and interactive event with multiple stations where participants can move between educational stations and see first-hand how an irrigation system works. The event begins at 9 am and ends at 2 pm and takes about an hour to visit all stations. Some stations have specific times for demonstrations. The Learn2LiveGreen Event (L2LG) will be held on April 14^th at the Shops at Legacy this year.  L2LG is a FREE, fun, family event featuring exhibits, presentations on environmental topics, workshops, demonstrations, entertainment, and children’s activities. In previous years, this event has been known as the Live Green Expo.  In terms of water conservation, there will be a rain barrel making workshop offered (pre-registration required), a track of water conservation classes which will include a DIY drip irrigation class, and displays on how to find and fix simple leaks and make sprinkler repairs.
